Both of the two biggest Amazon research platforms have shipped an AI connector this year. Both promise the same thing: stop exporting spreadsheets and start asking your assistant directly. They are not built for the same buyer, and the gap between them is not a features list, it is who each one assumes is asking the question.
Why trust this: we run Helium 10’s connector live on our own account and verified its current usage today. Jungle Scout’s connector is not something we have hands-on access to, since it sits behind a plan we are not on, so that side is researched from Jungle Scout’s own published material today rather than tested, and we say exactly where that line falls throughout this piece.
How we compared them
One side of this comparison is hands-on. The other is researched. We are not going to blur that distinction to make the piece read more even than it is.
Helium 10’s side: live and verified today. We checked our own account’s usage against its connector and confirmed it is active, metered, and working exactly as documented.
Jungle Scout’s side: researched, not tested. We do not have a Cobalt subscription, and Jungle Scout’s own MCP page is explicit that new customers need to request a demo. Everything on that side comes from their own published pages, checked today, not from a live session on our end.
Our ratings are not influenced by commissions. Jungle Scout is not an affiliate partner of ours for this comparison, and it still comes out ahead for the buyer it is built for. We say so.
From the publisher
Everything we know about running Amazon, in one course.
The commercial strategy, taught by operators who run our own brands.
The verdict: operator data or category data, and they are not the same buy
For an operator running or managing Amazon accounts day to day: Helium 10 MCP. It is included from the Diamond plan upward at a published price, it is self-serve, and we have it working live on our own account right now. It answers the questions a person running the account actually asks: which keyword, which ASIN, which campaign, why did this number move.
For a brand or category team already paying for Jungle Scout Cobalt: Jungle Scout MCP. It answers a different question entirely: market share, category growth, brand-level competitive position. That is strategic reporting for someone several steps removed from the account, not day-to-day operator work, and if your team already has Cobalt, the connector is reportedly included through the same relationship rather than a separate purchase.
There is no budget pick here, and we are not going to invent one. Cobalt is priced for businesses doing $5 million or more a year on Amazon, with custom quotes rather than a published number. If that is not you, this comparison does not apply to you yet, and the honest answer is Helium 10 Platinum plus your own judgement, which is a legitimate place to be.
What changed since the last time we looked at this
Two things worth flagging, because both cut against the tidy version of this story.
Helium 10’s toolset has visibly grown. We first documented “30-plus tools” a few weeks ago. Checking again today, the working set is noticeably larger than that. We are not going to hang a precise number on it that we cannot fully verify in one pass, but the direction is clear: this connector is being actively built out, not left alone after launch.
Jungle Scout’s own page now says its connector can act, not just answer. Their current MCP page states that “with agentic AI tools like Claude Cowork, it can also execute actions,” naming drafting briefs, posting alerts, and saving reports as examples. That is a materially different claim from a pure lookup tool, and it echoes something we found the hard way on the Helium 10 side: a connector marketed as being about answers can still have a write path once you look past the headline. We have not tested what Jungle Scout’s write path can touch, because we do not have the account to test it on. Anyone evaluating it should ask that question directly rather than assume “read-only” from the marketing copy, the same mistake we made and corrected on the other side of this comparison.
The comparison
| Helium 10 MCP | Jungle Scout MCP | |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Included from Diamond ($279/mo) upward, self-serve | Powered by Cobalt, enterprise tier aimed at $5M+ annual revenue sellers |
| Pricing | Published, no extra cost above the plan | Not published, custom quote, demo request required |
| Setup | Self-serve through Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code | Request a demo, or contact your account representative if already a customer |
| Data focus | Keyword research, reverse ASIN, product discovery, ads, cost-of-goods, account-level detail | Market share, category growth, brand and seller landscape, price-tier analysis, share of voice |
| Who it answers | The person running the account day to day | A brand or category team several steps removed from daily operations |
| Verified by us | Live, on our own account, today | Not tested, researched from Jungle Scout’s own published pages today |
| Write capability | Confirmed: can create, update and delete cost-of-goods records inside Helium 10, cannot touch Amazon | Stated by Jungle Scout to be capable of executing actions through agentic AI tools; scope not independently verified by us |
Pros and cons
Helium 10 MCP. Self-serve, published pricing, and we can vouch for it because we run it. Its data is operator-shaped: the terms, ranks, and cost figures someone managing a listing actually touches. Against it: the plan gate is real money, $180 a month more than Platinum, and the tool answers questions about your own account, not the wider category.
Don’t buy Helium 10 for this if what you actually need is market share and category-level competitive intelligence. That is not what this connector is built to answer.
Jungle Scout MCP. Genuinely different data, at the level a brand director or category lead thinks in, and apparently reachable through more AI platforms by name than Helium 10 currently lists. Against it: no published price, a demo gate before you can even see it, and a revenue threshold that puts it out of reach for most sellers reading this.
Don’t buy Jungle Scout for this if you are not already a Cobalt customer or close to that revenue tier. The gate is not a formality.
Who should not buy either of these yet
If you have not chosen a product yet, neither connector is your bottleneck. Both assume an account that already exists and already needs managing or reporting on. Neither replaces the sourcing decision.
And if you would not act differently with category-level share-of-voice data versus operator-level keyword data, the distinction in this piece is academic to you. Figure out which question you actually need answered before you evaluate either connector on its own terms.

Helium 10 side verified live against our own account today, 24 August 2026. Jungle Scout side from Jungle Scout’s own published MCP and Cobalt pages, checked the same day, including the stated Cobalt revenue threshold, the platform list, the demo-request requirement, and the note that agentic AI tools can use the connector to execute actions rather than only retrieve data. Neither side’s pricing figures for the enterprise tier are independently verified, since Jungle Scout does not publish them.
