TikTok Shop sellers in the United States can now ship TikTok orders straight out of the inventory they already hold in Amazon’s fulfilment centres, using Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment through one of nine named connector apps. TikTok Shop’s US Academy set the arrangement out in a documentation page dated 6 August 2026. Read the geography before you read the opportunity: the delivery performance Amazon attaches to the service applies to standard-size items shipped within the 48 contiguous US states and Washington, DC, and the documentation is scoped to United States sellers. It does not address international availability. If you sell from Europe, this is a holding story, not a launch you can act on this month.

It is still the most interesting fulfilment story of the quarter, for a reason most coverage will step over. Amazon is becoming the warehouse layer underneath a marketplace that competes with it for the same shopper. One pool of stock serving two channels, with no second warehouse and no second demand forecast, removes the single biggest structural reason multi-channel sellers have stayed off TikTok Shop.

What the documentation actually says

This is not a new product. The Academy page consolidates how Amazon’s existing Multi-Channel Fulfillment service (MCF) connects to TikTok orders, and names the apps that carry the connection. MCF works as a third-party logistics arrangement: a seller who already stores stock in Amazon’s fulfilment centres for Fulfillment by Amazon orders can draw on that same stock to pick, pack and ship TikTok Shop orders. Nothing physically moves. No duplicate stock count sits idle in a second network.

The link is made through the TikTok Shop App Store, not through a direct account connection between the two companies. Sellers already running Fulfillment by Amazon do not need additional Amazon-side setup. What remains is installing a supported app and authorising it against both the TikTok Shop and Amazon Seller Central accounts.

Nine apps currently support the MCF connection, as listed on the Academy page:

  • Pipe17
  • Rithum
  • WebBee
  • CedCommerce
  • ChannelEngine
  • Order Desk
  • Lingxing
  • 4Seller ERP
  • GeekSeller

Two details travel with the service. MCF orders ship in unbranded packaging, with no Amazon branding on the outer box, at no additional cost. And because replenishment happens against one consolidated stock count rather than several fragmented ones, TikTok Shop’s page states that sellers get better inventory control and a reduced risk of stockouts.

The performance figures, and whose figures they are

Every delivery number here originates with Amazon, not with TikTok, and TikTok Shop’s documentation reproduces them. On reliability, Amazon states an on-time delivery rate above 97 percent and an undamaged delivery rate of 99.98 percent for MCF shipments. Treat those as a vendor’s own service claims.

Metric Amazon’s stated figure
Standard delivery window Three business days
Expedited delivery window As fast as two business days
On-time delivery rate Above 97 percent
Undamaged delivery rate 99.98 percent
Standard-speed orders dispatched within three business days 98 percent, based on all MCF orders fulfilled in the US between January 2023 and March 2024
Orders with real-time tracking 100 percent, regardless of shipping speed

The qualifier matters more than any single percentage. Those delivery windows apply to standard-size items shipped within the 48 contiguous US states and Washington, DC, with further conditions beyond that baseline geography. Oversize goods and anything going elsewhere sit outside that promise. If your catalogue is bulky, the headline three days is not your number.

One stock pool, two channels, and two completely different fee stacks eating the same unit. Sellerboard splits profit by channel, order and SKU after fulfilment fees, surcharges and app subscriptions, so you can see whether a TikTok unit shipped from FBA actually earns more than the same unit sold on Amazon.

Why this lands harder than it would have a year ago

TikTok Shop rewrote its US fulfilment rules earlier this year. On 26 January 2026 the platform announced that Seller Shipping, the option that let merchants run their own carriers and warehouse partners, would be discontinued effective 25 February 2026. Since then, US local sellers have had to fulfil through TikTok Shop Logistics Services, Fulfilled by TikTok, Upgraded TikTok Shipping, Collections by TikTok, or an approved third-party provider.

Amazon MCF, reached through one of the nine apps, is one of those approved third-party paths. That is the practical weight of the August documentation. It does not displace TikTok’s own logistics options, but it gives an FBA seller a compliant route that needs no new warehouse relationship built specifically for TikTok orders.

Fulfilment performance is also no longer just a cost line on TikTok Shop. On 22 June 2026 the platform published its Shop Performance Score, a dynamic rating from 0 to 5 built from six metrics covering product satisfaction, fulfilment and logistics, and customer service. That score gates access to affiliate marketing tools, campaign participation and faster settlement timing. Choosing who ships your parcels now feeds into which growth levers you are allowed to pull.

Amazon has been pushing MCF well beyond its old role as an overflow channel. By September 2024 the service already served more than 200,000 US merchants, with a 70 percent year-on-year increase in total orders fulfilled, according to Amazon’s own announcement that month. A marketplace operator running the shipping for a rival marketplace is not a side effect here. It is a business line.

The cost line that is missing from the headline

This is not a free efficiency win, and the documentation does not pretend otherwise. Developer subscription charges may apply once a connector app is installed, separate from whatever Amazon charges for the fulfilment itself. Nine vendors, nine pricing pages, and even the cheapest adds a recurring line item to every TikTok order you route through Amazon.

Amazon’s side of the bill has been moving too. A 3.5 percent fuel and logistics surcharge took effect across Fulfillment by Amazon, MCF and Buy with Prime fees in April 2026. On 15 January 2026 Amazon launched an MCF Preferred Pricing program offering outbound fulfilment fee discounts of up to 15 percent plus per-unit credits, though a volume cap reduces the effective saving for high-throughput sellers. The TikTok Shop page describes what MCF does, not what it costs, so Amazon’s fee schedule has to be read separately.

The honest framing: you are trading a second warehouse for a connector subscription plus MCF outbound fees. For a seller with idle FBA depth and unproven TikTok demand, that trade is usually good. For a seller with thin cover on a hero SKU, one viral video draining the pool that feeds your Amazon Buy Box is a real risk.

Before you commit shared stock to TikTok, find out whether your category actually sells there. FastMoss, Kalodata and EchoTik track TikTok Shop product, creator and video performance so you can size real demand for your SKUs first, instead of pointing a single inventory pool at a channel on faith.

If you sell from Europe, this is preparation, not action

The documentation is a US Academy page for US sellers, and it does not address international availability. Whether the same nine-app list ever applies to TikTok Shop sellers in Germany, Spain, Italy or the UK is not stated. Amazon’s MCF runs on separate, market-specific setups, and in March 2026 it launched a dedicated German-language MCF site aimed at direct-to-consumer brands, offering EU-wide delivery in one to three days with no long-term contract requirement. So the fulfilment engine exists in Europe. The documented bridge from that engine into TikTok Shop does not.

That gap is the useful part. European sellers are watching a playbook they cannot run yet, which is the best possible time to get ready for it. Four things worth having in place:

  1. Know your true FBA stock cover per SKU, in weeks. A shared pool only works if you can answer what happens when one channel spikes.
  2. Price the connector layer now. Several of the nine (CedCommerce, ChannelEngine, Order Desk, Rithum) already operate across European marketplaces. Ask each what TikTok Shop plus Amazon MCF support would look like in your markets, and what it would cost.
  3. Decide your channel priority rule before you need it. Which channel loses the last unit, and who decides? Write it down while it is still a hypothetical.
  4. Validate TikTok demand in your own market first. US category performance is not a forecast for Germany or Spain.

What has not been said

The page carries no statement from a named TikTok Shop or Amazon spokesperson, and no indication of when each of the nine apps joined the supported list. It also does not say whether the underlying connection changed on 6 August 2026 or whether that date reflects a routine refresh of existing guidance. Neither company has framed this as a partnership, and there is no published commitment to extend it beyond the United States.

Which is the tell. A consequential fulfilment shift arrived as a help centre page, not a press release. Amazon has little reason to advertise that it is warehousing for a competitor, and TikTok has little reason to advertise how much of its US delivery promise now runs on Amazon’s network. The sellers who benefit are the ones reading documentation rather than waiting for an announcement.
